  • OH TO BE A YOUTH. Anyway your kid can ride every OC bus for free, but the paperwork expires Sept 30. Do it before buses are extinct.

  • OC Animal Care in Tustin is doing Clear the Shelters through Aug 31: adoption fees are waived entirely for dogs 25 pounds and up. Cat fees are half off, but on weekdays probably because they are cats.

  • Free this weekend:

    • 🌽 Corn Festival & Parade, 77th annual | La Habra

      • Free admission all three days, Fri Aug 21 through Sun Aug 23

      • El Centro-Lions Park, 320 E Erna Ave. Th

      • Parade is on Saturday 9:30am on La Habra Blvd between Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and Cypress St.

    • 🚗 Chicano Heritage Festival | Santa Ana

      • Sunday Aug 23, 3–7pm at Centennial Park.

      • Live performances, a car cruise and show, food vendors, community art, and an actual kids zone.

    • 🌊 They Will Surf Again | Huntington Beach:

      • Saturday Aug 22

      • Surfing starts at 9am, north of the pier at 6th & PCH.

      • The real cost: HB beach parking

    • 🎡 Sea Country Festival | Laguna Niguel

      • Free entry Fri Aug 21 (5–10pm), Sat Aug 22 (2–10pm), Sun Aug 23 (2–9pm)

      • Aliso Creek Rd between Alicia Pkwy and Dorine Rd.

      • Live bands, makers market, food trucks, beer and wine garden,

      • Free parking lots at City Hall and the community centers.
